Event Description : THEATRE : ​Yakshagna ​presents "Trains of Ruskin Bond​ ​-​ ​The Way You Look At Me" ​​​Hindi​/English​ Play.

Adapted from ​Ruskin Bond's short stories

About the play : Turning back the clock to the 1960s India when steam locomotives ran through the country, the play unveils a love story which is reborn in a tragic coincidence of destiny.  Inspired by Ruskin Bond’s short stories, this play is all about a meeting of a young man and a woman in a first class train compartment. Along the course of their journey, they get quite intimate with each other’s likes, dislikes, interests-like anybody else would- and backgrounds, and that’s when their past returns in the most weird, confusing and startling ways they could’ve imagined. A peaceful sojourn suddenly twists its way towards awkwardness and shock, but do they really have anything in common? Can either of them really see what’s hidden in front of them? Does their past become their present? And the catch is that neither of them knows that the other one is a blind!

About the group : ​​Yakshagna was founded in 2009 as a theatre society​. It work​s​ in the field of education ​as well ​by providing acting and theatre workshops for children and adults regularly.​ 
​It organized its 1st annual theatre fest at SRC Auditorium, Mandi House on the 7th of April 2014.​
