Event Description :  TALK : "The Big Democracy Project" by Kully Thiarai, Artistic Director, National Theatre Wales.

Through its Big Democracy Project, National Theatre Wales aims to
·  ask big questions about democracy;
·  help Wales imagine the future it wants;
·  make a real change to the lives of people in Wales and beyond; and
·  instigate action through art.

Kully Thiarai has worked in the performing arts for many years as an Artist, Arts Strategist and Consultant. She has been Artistic Director of Contact Theatre, Manchester, Leicester Haymarket Theatre, Theatre Writing Partnership and Red Ladder Theatre Company, Leeds. She has created a diverse range of work that spans communities, cultures and performance styles; has directed large-scale epics, new plays and made work in non-theatre spaces.
