On 15th February 2016 presidency of the BRICS will transition from Russia to India. During Russian presidency initiatives were taken for closer coordination of macroeconomic policies of the BRICS countries , which is reflected in the adopted strategy in Ufa's multilateral economic partnership.
Today the BRICS countries, while continuing to promote the reform of the international financial and economic architecture have been successful in creating its own structure of financial institutions - the New Development Bank and pool of foreign exchange reserves. The instability in the global economy, structural imbalances, high volatility of prices for energy and commodities, as well as the accumulation sovereign debt of a number of major countries directly affect the dynamics of growth of the BRICS economies.
Experts from both the countries will discuss what measure are being planned by the member countries to overcome the tight economic situation ? What plans India has to strengthen the BRICS initiative in the year 2016 under its Presidency?
