Event Description : Triveni Sangam- A Saree & Ethnic Wear Confluence
Triveni, setup in Surat in 1985 invites you to experience the world of Sarees & Indian ethnic wear. We believe there's something fundamentally elegant about ethnic wear - and want to enable every individual to experience, understand, respect and explore cultures through personal experiences of ethnic apparels. And can there be a more modern garment than sarees - which gives you flexibility to wear it whichever way you like?
Triveni Sangam is an event showcasing its' recent Dare2Drape experiences (fancy trying 7 different saree drapes across 7 weeks), their ethnic wear designs, and Triveni's recent collections and much more.
Some key event highlights:
Introduction to Triveni & new Triveni collections
Dare2Drape challengers share their experiences - from saree newbee to pros!
U-Design students showcase their creations
Hands on Saree draping session by Triveni's Head Designer- Shalini Raj
About the Speaker :Triveni's Director- Mr. Arvind Saraf, who is graduated from IIT Kanpur ( pursued B.Tech in Computer Science), started off his PhD at MIT Massachusetts, worked at Google, co-founded a social healthcare company, and in 2012 – joined the traditional family business, Triveni. He managed overall operations at Triveni.
About the Organization Triveni - a 30 year old Saree manufacturer based in Surat, India and now a brand for ethnic wear of all types.
In 2011, we setup TriveniSarees.com – to take the fabulous Triveni collection worldwide, online and a few clicks away. We started directly interacting with our customers – we listened to you, we added Salwar Suits, Lehenga Cholis, Lehenga Sarees, Kurtis, Jewellery, Cotton and Silk Sarees to our collection. Triveni became Triveni Ethnics.
We have always loved Sarees like no other ethnic wear, which is depicted in our various engagements in the past- our first ever blog post- Saree, it’s history, geography and much more, our "How to Drape a Saree" live video sessions, Saree draping workshops in college campuses of India and abroad and the most recent one, Share your saree story contest. In this quest of rediscovering saree-love of modern day woman, we also came across100sareespact, and honestly we became a total fan of the movement.
