Event Description : BOOK launch & TALK ‘The Raj at War’ by Yasim Khan
Yasmin Khan S a writer and historian. She was born in London in 1977, has taught in Edinburgh and London Universities and is currently an Associate Professor of History at the University of Oxford Her first book. The Great Partition (2007) won the Gladstone Prize from the Royal Historical Society. Her latest book The Raj at War a People's History of India's Second World War Was Shortlisted for the Tata Literature Live! Non-fiction Book of the Year 2015 and was listed among the Guardian's top ten history books for 2015.
