Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Moscow on December 24-25 for the annual bilateral summit. This is his first state visit to Russia. Political analysts see this visit as a thrust provider to take bilateral relations to qualitatively a new level. The rapidly changing geopolitical situation in the world and in Eurasia, which has seen the growth of terrorist activities to an unprecedented level by "the Islamic state" (Daish), aggravation of the situation in Syria and Iraq, as well as the unresolved situation in Afghanistan inevitably raises the question of closer coordination between Russia and India in the field of security. Equally Important aspects of Bilateral talks will be trade and economic themes, the military-technical cooperation, interaction in the sphere of energy, pharmaceutical, telecommunications and tourism.
This year India began the process of joining the SCO. This will allow our countries to more closely coordinate efforts on issues of regional cooperation. Russia currently holds the chair of the BRICS and India will hold the chair of BRICS in 2016, where inter-alia the discussion to reform the existing international financial architecture, taking into account the interests of developing countries has been taking place.
Experts through the Video conference will discuss the priorities of bilateral cooperation between India & Russia vis-a-vis their role in the rapidly changing Geo political combinations.
