Event Description : Royaala Theatre Society presents "The Post Man" Hinglish Play. 


This Solo performance is based on an Audio story from Neelesh Misra. The Performance is an autobiography of a post man, which explains his life association with different people in the society. The Post man was key person till early 20th Century.  Many people waiting for him. He reaches to every one and give a surprise gift from his magic bag, it may be a love letter to young boy or girl, a job letter for an aspirant, rakhi, telegram, Money order these things from his bag always makes people happy and sometimes not.
He is a friend to an old woman who is waiting for a financial support from his son at Assam riffles, he is a travelling mobile who communicates their information to far way relatives.
The Post man has a vital role in everyone’s life. But whereas how many of our young generation met with Postman. The existence of post is no more as earlier. The story of a post man is always interesting.

Adapted, Designed and Directed: Murali Basa
Murali Basa, a designer and Director, worked with so many eminent directors. His designed works Jaatakamala, Metro, Metro with Bhoomika Creative Dance Centre and A straight Proposal, Genuine Liars, Familiar Strangers, Gangs of girl with Unicorn Actors Studio, had given an impact in the contemporary theatre and Dance works. He is associated with more than 10 Theatre and Dance groups in India. He is a Ph.D. Scholar from University of Hyderabad at Department of Theatre Arts working on Digital Media and Urban Theatre Performance. Currently he resides at Delhi, working as freelance Designer and director. He Teaches at Shri Ram Centre for Arts and Culture, Delhi and Indira kala Sangeeta Vishwa Vidyala, Khairagarh. He conducted different workshops on Lighting and Design. His academic papers on lighting published online.

About The Group : Royaala Theatre Society, is established in 2014 at Ponduru village. It aims to bring a new cultural dimensions by encouraging the young directors in Theatre, Dance and Film. Theatre enthusiasts, Weavers, young Graduates, Business people have come together and formed as a group. The Group conducts Seminars, workshops and Lectures on Theatre and Culture. It conducts art competitions for young people. It makes people aware of #AIDS, TB diseases through street plays. The group at present works on Swachch bharat and make in India. The group have conducted 4 workshops and 2 competitions till now. The group also promote others events through online and Digital sources.  Murali Basa, is the president of this group.
