Age of Cannibals
Directed by: Johannes Naber | 2014 | 93 minutes
Öllers and Niederländer are two highly paid consultants. For years they’ve been touring the world’s dirtiest countries seeking to satisfy their clients’ hunger for profit. Reality exists merely as a dusty silhouette behind the windows of their air-conditioned luxury hotels. Their goal seems to be within their grasp: to ascend to their company's top echelon and finally be made partners. Both are well aware that, according to their firm's unwritten rules in the hierarchy, they’ll need to secure their final promotion by their mid-thirties or else they’ll be sidelined: ‘up or out’.
But then their old rival Hellinger is given the sought-after promotion and they find themselves forced to come to terms with his successor, the ambitious young Bianca. Gradually, they begin to lose control and their nerves are on edge: why did Hellinger throw himself out of a window? Why is the company being sold? And will the firm reshuffle the cards without them? Who can they trust? They are fighting their last battle. Age of Cannibals (Zeit der Kannibalen) is a slick, sharp parody charting the fall of the new elite from the heights of hubris into a miserable abyss. And, in the meantime, radical Islamists storm the hotel.

F*ck You Goethe
Directed by: Bora Dagtekin | 2013 | 118 minutes
Zeki Müller is a petty criminal down on his luck: His last coup yielded nothing but a prison sentence. Having just been released from custody he is eager to retrieve his lost loot. Destiny, however, has prepared otherwise and by a chain of unforeseen events Zeki ends up as an assistant teacher at a high school. His robust work methods irritate his colleagues, but turn out to be astoundingly efficient in handling the students in his challenging class. The new teacher's unconventional ways also draw the attention of pretty arbiter Lisi. Being blessed with both professional and private success, Zeki starts to wonder whether he ever wants to return to his criminal career at all.

Whisky with Vodka
Directed by: Andreas Dresen | 2009 | 108 minutes
A renowned actor named Otto is the epitome of the problematic but beloved ladies’ man. Even when drunk he still knows more about filmmaking than does the amateur who is directing him in his latest movie. But what should the unreliable star do when a local actor joins the crew as his understudy? Comic situations arise not only because of the well-known environment, but also from an inclination to authentically capture the various relationships.
