Event Description : Treasure Art Association presents "Heengbagi Mami (The Shadow of Life)" Play Based on Irom Sharmila (Iron Lady of Manipur)
Heengbagi Mamimeans The Shadow of Life in Manipuri. It is an initiative to bring out the life and struggle of Irom Sharmila (Iron Lady of Manipur) to startle the larger part of India which is reluctant to even know about her.
This play presents the glimpses of her life incidents, the inner journey of Sharmila through her whole struggle with factual documentations about the situation in Manipur.

About The Group : Treasure Art Association has drawn its inspiration from Indian tradition.Researching the sources of Indian performing arts and dynamic performances presenting the confluence of tradition art and modern theatrical forms.This group aims to research and created a kind of training process for the actors and builds new kinds of theatre, drawing upon our traditional dance, martial arts, music and other arts.Since its inception the group has worked to preserve its connection with the country’s ethnic roots and has done extensive work on the Manipuri folk dance, martial arts and acting at the Pungdongbam, Imphal District Manipur.
