Event Description : Theatre Unit Darbhanga presents "Samwadiya" Hindi / Maithili Play Based on Phanishwar Nath Renu’s short story.

A solo performance - SAMWADIYA tells about a person who has been designated as a village 'messenger' to send information in other districts or states. Samwadiya does his job very diligently and narrates each word with exact emotions in which the information is meant to be delivered. The story takes a turn when his conscience asks him to lie about a particular information because he doesn’t have the courage of telling the truth.

About the group : Theatre Unit Darbhanga, was formed in the year 2002, by young and dynamic theatre enthusiasts in Darbhanga, Bihar. The group TUD, comprises people and theatre practitioners across Delhi, Mumbai, Patna, Dumrao and other parts of Bihar. The foundation has been put by renowned theatre practitioners Prakash Bandhu & Kamlendra Chakrapani in Darbhanga.
