Classical Vocal recital by NABANITA CHOWDHARY
Nabanita Chowdhary is a versatile, creative vocalist par excellence. She is First Class First with distinction in Hindustani Classical Music in B.A. / M.A. courses and holds a PhD. Received taalim from eminent musicians like Pt. DN Bhonsle, Late Vidushi Shobha Gurtu, Late Pt. SL Chaturvedi, Pt. Deepak Chatterjee etc. She has extensively performed all over India, USA, Australia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Srilanka, Nepal, Myanmar etc.
Classical Vocal recital and a brief presentation on music therapy by SUCHETA RAKSHIT, MA, PhD (Music Therapy), Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata
Sucheta, born in a musical family had early initiation to classical music by her aunt Smt. Suchitra Rakshit. Subsequently learnt from several gurus like Smt. Charulata Mishra, Ustad Mashkoor Ali Khan and Ustad Moobarak Ali Khan. She learnt Dhrupad from Late Pt. Vidur Mallik and then his sons Pt. Ram Kumar and Pt. Prem Kumar Mallik of “Darbhanga gharana”. She is a renowned Music Therapist practicing in Odisha.
