Synopsis: Sufiyana Qawwali singer Sarfraz Chishti belongs to a family of traditional musicians. He is the son and disciple of Ustad Abdul Gufur Shakur of Madalewale.
With a rich and varied experience, he has been performing for the past 35 years at prestigious festivals in the country and abroad including in U.S.A, UAE, Afghanistan and Singapore.
He and his party are known for singing compositions of Hazrat Amir Khusro, Hazrat Jami, Shamali Bheek, Surdas and Kabir to name a few. 
They believe in retaining the purity of tradition. 
They have also sung the title track of the serial Noorjahan. Sarfraz Chishti has been honoured by various prestigious organizations over the past many years.

Background : Over the past six decades, Sangeet Natak Akademi has built up an archive of audio and video tapes, photographs, slides and films on the performing arts.
