Event Description : The British Council presents "Parallel Dimensions" An exhibition of artwork by Ananda Moy Banerji (prints), Kristine Michael (sculpture) and Sujata Singh (painting)
‘Parallel Dimensions’ brings together the diverse work of three artists who trained in the United Kingdom at formative stages of their careers. Showcasing printmaking, ceramics, painting and drawings, this exhibition delves into individual narratives, societal structures and the intrinsic relationship between humans and the natural world. ‘Parallel Dimensions’ blurs the distinction between ‘fine art’, craft and illustration and serves to demonstrate the potential of diverse media and techniques of art-making.
About the Artists
Ananda Moy Banerji studied at Camberwell College of Art under the Charles Wallace Trust and is currently Vice Principal of the South Delhi Polytechnic for Women, New Delhi.
Kristine Michael as a Charles Wallace and Nehru Trust scholar studied at Aldermaston Pottery, Dartington and the V&A Museum and presently teaches at the British School in Delhi.
Sujata Singh studied at Camden Arts Centre, Central School of Art and Design and Wimbledon School of Arts. She currently teaches at the British School in Delhi.
