Event Description : "Still Going" Dance Performance By Marina Collard.

The British Council are associating with Gati Dance Forum, by supporting Marina Collard as a Choreography Mentor at the Gati Summer Dance Residency 2015. 

Marina Collard is a freelance dancer, teacher and dance maker. She has worked for many independent choreographers and companies and has extensive teaching experience delivering company class and professional class both nationally and internationally. She regularly teaches at Independent Dance and often teaches at London Contemporary Dance School and Trinity Laban where she has also created works for 3rd year touring companies. Alongside her dance work Marina is a Biodynamic Craniosacral Practitioner working in London and Oxford. She is currently assisting on the Body Intelligence Training in London, led by Steve Haines, Ged Sumner and Colin Perrow. Her treatment approach is informed by her career in dance and her own experience of receiving a wide range of treatments throughout that time. Marina enjoys working both as a dance artist and therapist as she finds that each of those practices inform one another and enrich her curiosity about the body. 

Gati Dance Forum is New Delhi-based independent arts organization that works in the field of contemporary dance in India. Established in 2009, Gati Summer Dance Residency has been conceived of as a critical space that supports the development of emerging choreographers in South Asia and their engagement with the art of dance-making. GSDR provides each resident-choreographer with financial support, individual mentoring, rehearsal space, production assistance, and final performance. The GSDR has a strong alumina of 31 residents from the last 6 editions.
