Event Description : Beat the heat with Sharbat Mela.
As the mercury sears high and Delhi is reeling under the June heat spell, Delhi Tourism brings to you the annual Sharbat Mela at Dilli Haat, INA to treat you with an amazing blend of traditional ethnic drinks such as Thandai, Lassi, Jaljeera, Mango Shake, Aam Panna, Sattu, Kokam apart from Chuski, Kulfi, Faluda, Cold Coffee, Ice creams and fresh Fruit juices for you to relish on.
Traditional products like ittar, gulabjal and (application of) herbal Mehndi would also be displayed and on sale during the Mela.
The special attraction this year are the organic squashes and juices from Navdanya such as drinks made of Ladakh Himalayan Berries, Sea Buckthorn and Rhododendron juice from the blood red flowers of Himalayan tree which are both refreshing as well as hold medicinal value. This year, renowned companies like Hitkari, Hamdard, Simbhavli Sugar Mill, Mother Dairy, Aroma etc are also participating and selling their products in the three day Mela.
Apart from enjoying the variety of drinks on offer there are a lot of craft stalls set up at the venue. Availability of a children park with various swings in the Haat and cultural programs by Sahitya Kala Parishad every evening will provide a perfect getaway for a family outing.
