Event Description : “Love Letters” an English Play by A.R. Gurney
The play debuted at the Long Wharf Theater in New Haven, Connecticut in 1988. With only two characters, this timeless piece of drama has comic elements too as it deals with many themes including friendship, love, loyalty and heartache. An intimate play in which the audience feels part of the history of the man and woman, it shows how life itself is revealed through love letters. The play has been translated into many languages including in the Indian context as the widely popular play "Tumhari Amrita."

About the Artists:
George Sibley has been an actor since the age of six when he played the role of Merlin in a memorable version of "The Sword in the Stone." After studying at the National Shakespeare Conservatory in New York, he performed in a variety of roles in Mexico, Indonesia and Nepal including Jimmy in "Look Back in Anger," the title role in "Pippin," Bernard in "Boeing, Boeing," and Captain Jack Boyle in "Juno and the Paycock." He currently stars as the overburdened Minister Counselor in a long-running performance at the Office of Economic, Environment, Science and Technology Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi.
Lee-Alison Sibley is an actress, a singer, and a director. She has performed internationally on stages, television and radio across North and South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. She has a Bachelor’s degree in performance from Boston University and Masters from the Manhattan School of Music, and another Masters in Education from George Mason University. She has had additional training for the theatre from legendary actor Mario Siletti in New York City. In India, Lee-Alison has acted in and directed a number of productions in Kolkata and recorded the songs of Rabindranath Tagore in Bengali and English. Interestingly, she met her husband George when they both starred in a production of the musical "Pippin" in Mexico City.
