"Krabat" film screening & discussion at Library, Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan, 3 Kasturba Gandhi Marg > 4:30pm on 18th April 2015

Event Description : "Krabat" film screening.
Based on the eponymous novel by Otfried Preußler, the film tells the story of poor, young orphan Krabat, who roams through the German woods at the end of the 30-year war. A voice in a dream lures the 14-year-old to a mill shrouded in mystery, where he is taken on as an apprentice by a sinister master. Along with eleven other lads, he finds himself learning not just the miller's craft but eventually also the arts of black magic - and realises its inherit danger. When Krabat falls in love with a girl, he has to hide his relationship from the master, leading to a confrontation which puts him to the ultimate test.
