Event Description : HELIOS Theater (Hamm, Germany) presents "H 2 O" English Play.

It all starts with one single drop... Water - we seem to know everything about this element, but when we take a closer look, it's full of surprises and is still a mystery to scientists. Water has enormous power, sputtering life and sparkling joy. May it be as a melting ice-block, a shimmering fountain or as damp, as a refreshing drink or a sweeping wave, as an element of sound or reflector of light, in this performance water always takes on new forms. It inspires the performers and audiences alike and generates wonder.

H2O is part of Tifli 2015.

The HELIOS Theater was founded in 1989 in Cologne by a professional group of artists, musicians, puppeteers, players and Barbara Kölling as the director and artistic leader of the theatre. The HELIOS Theater develops theatre performances for children from age 2 years up to young people and adults.

In 1997 the city of Hamm proposed that the ensemble build the first professional theatre in town. Since then the company's productions have been shown in Hamm and travel to other locations as "mobile productions".

In 2004 the HELIOS Theater moved to the Kulturbahnhof Hamm located at the central station that was reconstructed especially for the purpose. HELIOS Theater has received many awards for its work in recent years for their specialised practice geared towards children.
