Event Description : "The Panchatantra Collection" an exhibition of stories from Panchatantra by folk and tribal artists.
The Panchatantra collection represents the earliest folk tale form in the world of literature. This marvelous book on Niti Shastra, a text on political thought and the wise conduct of life comes to us fresh and vibrant over the years, its complexities cloaked in fables. These tales have spread across the boundaries of the sub-continent to be told and retold in the language of travelers and courts and from teller to teller.
This exhibition refocuses our attention on this ageless and universal collection of stories which continues to be relevant even two millennia later.
