Event Description : Downtime : A Performapedia on Sleep.

Downtime is a performative quest to record, examine and unpack the phenomenon of sleep. The audience is invited to participate in carefully curated 'sleep' events. To explore performance in contemporary sleep, participants visit private spaces, public territories, and navigate through personal narratives in a networked sleep-chamber. They are encouraged to immerse themselves in the diversity and variance of the sleeping experience today. They explore the deep wonder and disturbance in what 'occurs' in and through sleep.

Downtime connects participants in Germany and India, along with other events taking place simultaneously in the two countries.
