Event Description : "Of Women" dance choreography by Mehneer Sudan in collaboration with the performers.

What does it mean to be female? What does one do that makes her ‘female’? How does one sit, stand, lie, kneel, walk, jump or represent the body in stillness or in action to be categorised as a ‘woman’? How far is one’s identity shaped by these expectations?

Of Women is a dance theatre piece that attempts to question the tension between expected gender roles and personal perceptions of feminine identity. The work has been created through an exploratory process that takes the form of an exhibition in the performance space.
