Start the festive season in India, with a Bang! Enjoy this year’s Navratris among the Raavan-effigy makers and the Ramleela artists who essay the roles of Ram, Sita, Laxman, Raavan and Hanuman. Walk with us through Chandni Chowk to capture the festivities and moods & colors of Delhi-6 during the 10-days of Ramleela! Watch the larger-than-life theatrical productions of important episodes of the epic Ramayana, eat traditional food delicacies and soak in the vibrant atmosphere that makes Purani Dilli the hub for Navratris/Ramleelas in Delhi.

Highlights of the DBF Ramleela Celebrations 2014 will include:
1) See rows & rows of huge Raavan effigies of various colors & styles at Titaarpur and learn about the history and legacy of "Raavan Baba"!!
2) Listen to the craftsmen as they share experiences, their superstitions & the nuances of making Raavans.
3) Stories related to the mythological significance of Ramayana
4) Get special VIP access of front-row seats for the Ramleela theatrical performances
5) Take a peek backstage where the Ramleela artists who enact the roles of Ram, Sita, Laxman, Raavan and Hanuman pose for your cameras.
6) Relive childhood memories with optional rides on a Giant Ferris-wheel, Merry-go-rounds and other fun-rides.
7) Sample delectable vegetarian delicacies from the hidden corners of Delhi-6
8) Millions of photographic opportunities!

Celebrate the spirit of Dussehra this Sunday with the story tellers of DBF and the master effigy makers of the 'Village of Raavan', learning how these giant effigies made of paper & bamboo become the largest symbols of the proverbial "Victory of good over evil" when Rama lights an arrow and sets Raavan's effigy on fire...

Then we zoom across town to the 350 year old Mughal area of Chandni Chowk, to enjoy the larger-than-life theatrical productions of important episodes of the epic Ramayana at one of the oldest Ramleelas of Delhi, sitting inside a special VIP area!

Once we have had our fill of mythology, stories, photography and fun, we the hungry DBFwallas then attack the Ramleela Foodstalls to savour the Sattvik delicacies thus completing our experience of soaking in the vibrant atmosphere that makes Purani Dilli the hub for Navratris and Ramleelas in Delhi!!!
