Kouto
Our brain has unlimited capacity, but only a fraction of it is used. Large part of the brain remains unexplored. It is said that an average man develops only ten percent of his latent mental ability. If only we apply ourselves to harness this unused potential, we could achieve so much more.
A happy-go-lucky old man meets two downcast youngsters in a park. To instill confidence in them he gives them a pep talk. Using a brain model he attempts to illuminate their life.

Chokher Aloy
In this cruel world penury is a curse. It is unpleasant and unwelcome, but is the reality of life. Struggle for subsistence to make both ends meet is not easy. When one suffers from insecurity and his dreams of a better life lay shattered, he may find himself momentarily lost in a maze of greed, deceit and treachery. The moot point is whether basic human values and wisdom can prevail over such moral degradation.

Drama Society AAKRITI is an amateur Bengali theatre group, established in early 2002, with the aim to produce good, meaningful plays, and offer healthy entertainment to theatre lovers. Although it is still in its infancy, it has already made its mark in the theatre circuit and won plaudits and awards with novel choice of theme, unique style of presentation, quality acting, innovative stagecraft, and subtle directorial touches. It has distinguished itself by meticulously selecting scripts, mostly written by one of the group members. It has been performing theatre shows in Delhi and NCR, participated in competitions/festivals in Delhi, Chandigarh, Kanpur, Allahabad and won many laurels. Its productions were highly acclaimed and got rave reviews from discerning critics and general audience alike.
A humble theatre group, with fourteen productions to date, is serious in its pursuit of performing art. Not given to blowing its own trumpet, it is steadfastly devoted to good theatre. It is known for out of the box thinking, off beat theme and ingenious presentation, with a bevy of committed, hardworking actors. Over the years the group has endeared itself to the theatre lovers and won the heart of connoisseurs by staging some outstanding plays. To sustain the good work of the past and to carve out a niche among the theatre fraternity is a challenge AAKRITI loves to meet.
