Entry : Anyone can participate, however participation requires registration. Some experience of performing or training in a physical discipline will be considered an added advantage.
To register write tomail@yellowcat.in with your name, age, contact number and present occupation. After writing in you might be asked to provide further details about yourself. Since the event capacity is limited, places cannot be guaranteed.
This is a physically demanding event. You must be at least 18 years to register.
Selected participants will be required to stay overnight at the Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan, New Delhi.
Food and refreshment will be provided throughout the Long Night of Theater.
Selected participants will be instructed on basic preparedness before the event.
Event Description : Yellowcat Theater presents "Long Night of Theater" Workshop.
After an overwhelming response last year, the second edition of Long Night of Theater is back. Conceived as an intensive immersion into the process of devising and performance-making, the Long Night brings together 20 strangers with the goal of creating a performance from scratch in the space of 24 hours. The performance is opened to the public at the end of 24 hours. Led by Sukhesh Arora (Yellowcat Theater), the day-long event will comprise sessions with Mandeep Raikhy (Gati Dance) and Anurupa Roy (Katkatha) throughout the Long Night. The sessions are designed around collaborative processes, and set out to investigate the role of the body and composition in performance-making.
