Join us for the launch of the catalogue, Mapping Gender: Bodies and Sexualities in Contemporary Art across the Global South from the exhibition that took place at the School of Arts and Aesthetics (SAA), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, from November 16 – December 6, 2013, The exhibition aimed to connect artists active in countries across the Global South, through a discourse around gender. The exhibition included several thematic subdivisions, encompassing the diversity of mediums. The project discussed the dialectics of the social, political, and cultural considerations of gender and resulted in an exhibition catalogue carries texts by Professor Kavita Singh, Susan Hapgood and students of SAA.
