Event Description : Delhi Crafts Council presents
 “Kairi”,  textiles of summer.

About the Exhibition: Kairi is the summer textiles exhibition of Delhi Crafts Council. Kairi showcases a stunning collection of hand-loom sarees and fabrics created by twenty craftsmen from all over the country.The Exhibition will display samples of tie-die textiles as well as have a live demonstration of this traditional technique. This annual exhibition is held with the intention of promoting the artisans craftsmanship and offering them a platform to market their products. 
                                                    
This year’s exhibition showcases handloom fabrics and sarees ranging from Ajrakh, Kamlamkari, Ikat, Kota, Chanderi, Leheriya and Maheshwari as well as Kasuti, which is an embroidery from Karnataka. Along with these, there are some stunning tribal textiles from Bastar.

About Kamala :
KAMALA seeks to showcase the excellence and creativity of the traditional Indian artisan, both in handicrafts and textiles. It is an Initiative of the Crafts Council of India, a registered, non-profit, voluntary organization founded in 1964 by Smt. Kamala Devi Chattopadhyay. Traditional and contemporary crafts are provided professional marketing support through KAMALA.
