SIAM FIGHTING FAKE – The Initiative at the Auto Expo 2014

In SIAM’s first ever online initiative at Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2014 to create awareness on counterfeit spare part market amongst visitors, they launched ‘Say it with a slogan’ to connect with young and tech savvy audience.

During the Auto Expo 2014, SIAM engaged visitors via three ‘#SIAMFightingFake’ stalls which were placed around the venue. Every stall had an interactive kiosk with Social Media integration to engage visitors in the campaign. Visitors were asked to share their slogan against ‘Fake” and best of the slogans were rewarded on the spot. We received an overwhelming response with over 3000 people sharing their slogans against fake and liking SIAM fighting fake Facebook page. The paintings based on Real and Fake theme, received by the painting competition held by SIAM ACG at different schools in Delhi and Bombay were also pinned to one wall at the stall. 

Along with this, there were 3 pledge walls placed opposite Hall 1, Hall 14 and main entrance respectively. Pledge wall was placed to motivate visitors to use genuine spare parts for their vehicle and create awareness around spurious spare parts. CEO pledge wall was signed by senior officials from various exhibitors at Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2014. Some big names from automotive industry are Chairman of SIAM ACG Mr.Rajesh Bagga and Co Chairman Mr.R.S.Kalsi , Mr.Vinnie Mehta, Executive Director, ACMA, ISUZU president Mr.Takashi Kikuchi, Mr.Ravi Pisharody, Head of commercial Vehicles, TATA Motors and more. 

Groovy, high-octane, professionally choreographed, crowd pulling dance performances based on #Anti-Counterfeiting theme was staged in the entertainment zone on 8th and 9th February 2014.
