Event Description : Embassy of the United States of America presents an event marking the 50th Anniversary of the Assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

The presidency of John F. Kennedy that ended so suddenly half a century ago lasted only 34 months. Yet he continues to serve as an important figure in American history, and an inspiration beyond America’s borders.

To mark the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President Kennedy, the U.S. Embassy is hosting a Digital Video Conference with Kennedy scholar Dr. Barbara Perry. It will be moderated by Professor K.P. Vijayalakshmi of Jawaharlal Nehru University. Dr. Perry will address the successes and failures of the Kennedy presidency, the development of the Camelot legend after his assassination and how President Kennedy’s life and death continue to play a prominent role in American history.
