Bakground : While the Hindi fortnight is being celebrated throughout the country, Mohan Rakesh Samman Samaroh comes out as a distinguished tribute to the great literator. The annual event was initiated by Sahitya Kala Parishad Delhi in the year 1982. Being as Original Play Writing Competition at early stage, it later was renamed as Mohan Rakes Samman Samaroh; a platform for the theatre enthusiasts where at one side the original Hindi Play Writing was being encouraged the people associated with practical performance activities were being given an opportunity to showcase their potential on the other hand.
