Event Description : Rotary Delhi Central Charitable Trust Project, Rotary Viklang Kendra, an ISO 9001:2000 certified organisation presents 'Suhana Safar' a musical evening to celebrate 25th Years of service to Physically Disabled & 100 Years of Indian Cinema.
. This is our 25th year of service to the physically disabled. In addition to manufacturing and providing free artificial limbs(upper and lower) and aids like wheelchairs and crutches free of cost, we also run an excellent physiotherapy and occupational therapy centre, facilitate vocational rehabilitation, and conduct public awareness programs on prevention of disease and disability. The Eye bank, which promotes and facilitates eye donation has restored vision to many.

The LIMB WORKSHOP ON WHEELS, a mobile unit for delivering these facilities at the door step to the needy, has just been introduced and will ensure a wider reach of our services.
These achievements have been possible with the help of Rotarians and philanthropic individuals and organisations who have supported us by contributing their time and expertise as well as through financial contributions.
However, as the work progresses and implementation of modernised technologies with new equipments will help us to provide more limbs and benefits to the economically weak & needy persons and  hence the need for funding is ever greater.

The singers are none other than our own members Rtn. Dr. Lalitha who is a Sr Anaesthetists at Apollo Hospital. R’Anne Dr. Harjeet is a Paediatrician at Faridabad, Rtn. Dr. Subra is a Senior Urology Surgeon at Apollo Hospital, Rtn Rachna is our member and Aditi is daughter of our member.

Since India is celebrating a century of cinema this year, the members of our club will be presenting a selection of popular music from Hindi films over the last hundred years. The programme will also highlight various facets of physical disability, including the benefits of awareness about the existing problems and their solutions, issues of advocacy, the need for empowerment and creating a conducive atmosphere for the inclusion of people with disabilities.
