About Antraal Theatre

Antraal Theater is an independent professional group of theater artists who have been operative in New Delhi since 2007. It is frequent, in the group, to come across someone who can easily dabble in management rules or flummox you with complex science equations. There are also those manage to sift through stacks of files and those who can sprout poetry at the slightest excuse.  But when this group gets on stage, theater is the only thing which matters. The group has managed to convert their passion for theater into a way of living life itself. It is this energy and perseverance that we bring to the stage and which also underscores whatever else we do in our lives. We meet every Sunday, as all the members are either working professionals or students from various fields.
At Antraal, scriptwriters, directors, actors, musicians and technical expertise all come together in the form of group members who handle all these aspects in an in-house manner. Thus an actor whom you see on stage would have probably also designed the costumes or wrote the music for that play. Through theater Antraal tries to bring forth a rural to urban migration, sustainability crisis in resource utilization as well as contemporary dilemmas, especially of the youth, in urban as well as rural settings. In all Antraal has, to its credit, various stage production, street plays and solo performances.
