Event Description : Banyan Tree presents 'Barkha Ritu' Monsoon Music Festival. 

Monsoons is that time of the year that gives a creative boost to creative minds. Banyan Tree Events brings back its iconic property Barkha Ritu. Ustad Shujaat Khan with Prasanna and Pt. Chhannulal Mishra are slated to perform this year. L&T Financial Services is the National Title Sponsor this year too and with the aim of nurturing India’s rich cultural heritage will support the festival across all the 8 cities which are  Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Chennai.
This year the highlight of Barkha Ritu is inclusion of Carnatic musicians to this concert series. 
Barkha Ritu is the brainchild of and conceptualized by Mahesh Babu who is the Managing Director at Banyan Tree Events. He is instrumental in the change in the manner in which performing arts were generally presented and perceived in our country. Banyan Tree has come up with landmark and path breaking events like Ruhaniyat, Barkha Ritu, KhusrauKabir, The Splendor of Masters and Dakshinayan. Apart from creating awareness of the performing arts, it has also been a significant catalyst in providing a new lease of life for some near extinct forms.
