Event Description : Information Department of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in India along with RIA Novosti cordially invites you to a video conference between New Delhi & Moscow on the following subject : "Rising Population of the World : What Challenges lie Ahead"
According to a report by UN, the current world population of 7.2 billion is projected to increase by 1 billion over the next 12 years and reach 9.6 billion by 2050. Further, both China and India would have around 1.45 billion people each with India surpassing China by the year 2028. In effect, India would be the most populous country in the globe.
People are living longer and leading healthier lives but at the same time, there are plenty of worries that the globe may not have enough food, water & Infrastructure to sustain rapidly growing populations.Experts from Russia & India will present their viewpoint on what challenges lie ahead with the increase in the population and will also suggest measures to handle the situation in best possible way.
