Event Description : Delhi by Foot presents "Mughals in Delhi - Rise and Fall of a Dynasty" Heritage Walk at Purana Qila. 

As part of a 2-day Heritage event on the MUGHAL STORY IN DELHI on Sat, 4th May we explore the 6th city of Delhi and a fort which played a pivotal role in the rise of Mughal power in Hindoostan.

Having probably seen habitation for almost 3000years now, the Old Fort near Pragati Maidan has many an interesting tale to share. Go back in time to relive the life & times of Delhi over 500 yrs ago when battles were fought for this city between the mighty armies of Humayun & Sher Shah Suri. 

Gaze back in time when the only Hindu Emperor to ever sit on the Throne of Delhi ruled northern India from this fort and learn why the Mughal dynasty was almost destroyed even before it could make a stronghold in India.
Listen to stories of the humble beginnings of the great Mughal Dynasty while you capture pictures of the beautiful ruins and monuments like the well-preserved Quila-i-Kuhna Mosque...

The walk presentation will be done in (Zabaan-e-Dehli) Hindi/Urdu and also in English
