Event Description : Art exhibition and short-films screening, theme being 100 years of Indian cinema and Delhi's 'phool mandi'.
International journalist Sapna Bhatia presents Art work display & short-films screening by Bring Home Stories.
With summers digging really deep and temperature rising really high, here's a show that will circulate a string of coolness among folks! Bring Home Stories, the Design label which calls storytelling as its USP, has collaborated with the lifestyle store named Indian August for exhibiting its enchanting Art works, photographic prints, canvas prints to name a few.

Screening of short films would do full justice to the storytelling USP of  Bring Home Stories. The following would be the short films that would be screened at the venue :
Indian Cinema and flowers: A special dedication on the 100 years of Indian cinema. This will be a short documentary depicting references of lines like "sasural gendha phool" and "phool tumhe bheja hai khat mein". Not to forget, the cheesy Indian proposal dialogues that we have been instilled with, will be given a tribute by BHS.
Animation that traces the journey of Delhi's 'phool mandi': The mandi was established in 1869 and since then the flowers have travelled from across India to become part of people’s prayers, celebrations, weddings and even funeral. Its existence of more than 100 years has added colour and charm to this beautiful city. Whether it is the ubiquitous “genda” or the heavenly “gulab”, a glimpse of these flowers is almost woven in the frames of a day. Over these years the market has evolved and has now welcomed new kids on the block like the “Lilies” and the “Orchids”. The Flowers have their stories and the people working with them have their tales to tell and this film has tried to capture this all.
Video Sketches of flower sellers: A unique way of showcasing the hard work and creativity that a flower seller is grounded with, this short film would surely turn several heads.
Making of the waistcoat: Presenting Anees Master, who has spent 25 years in fashion industry in India, in his first video interview talks about fashion and style. The procedure and increasing level of workmanship that goes into making a waistcoat of Bring Home Stories' first Design collection is what this film would comprise of. Also, short films on 'behind the scenes' of the Design collection's shoot would be premièred to catch attention.

Apart from screening of short films and exhibition of Artwork, there would be display of Bring Home Stories' first Design collection which includes 'Delhi's Phool Mandi' theme based lifestyle and décor products like waistcoats, jamas, shirts. Also, cushions printed with the same canvas Artwork would also be up on exhibition.

The Artwork, lifestyle and decor products have been developed by BHS Head Ms.Sapna Bhatia and partner Paul Liptrot, who is an Artist based in England.
