Event Description : Information Department of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in India along with RIA Novosti cordially invites you to a video conference between New Delhi, Moscow & Beijing on the following subject "BRICS summit in Durban: Will it set a new stage of development?"
Supporters & critics, both are anxiously waiting to see to outcome of the forthcoming BRICS Summit on March 26 and 27 in Durban, South Africa. There are a number of proposals to give more muscle & shape to BRICS including setting a permanent BRICS Secretariat, BRICS Development Bank and anti-crisis fund. All this should help to strengthen the influence of the BRICS in the world. What role the five member group of BRICS can play in reforming the global economy and economy of member countries? As a group, will it be able to counteract the traditional and non-traditional threats? What are the strengths of this set up and what are the issues which member nations should address to reach a common beneficial programme? Will the political & economical diversities of member countries complement or contradict each other in future?
Through the video conference leading experts from India, Russia & china will share their views on deepening cooperation within BRICS, new prospects for cooperation, joint projects and vision for the future of this international structure.
