Event Description : The Films & Theatre Society (FTS) presents a Theatre Festival.
Sixty-five years after the British departed, the Republic of India remains a work in progress. The gap between the haves and have nots is still widening as times go on.Have the goals of our freedom fighters been abandoned, their efforts squandered?? Are we really  free to express our independent views in this "independent" nation ? Thats debatable. But is that the only side of the picture? Is the corrupt political structure the only hindering stone ahead us? Have we  as individuals not gotten too oblivious towards our responsibilities as a citizen.. as an INDIAN?? 
This Republic day, Let's reconsider our perception of Freedom, Democracy and Republic with two of Films and Theater Society's classic plays - 
26th January : Animal Farm - A rip-roaring musical satire in Hindustani
27th January : Wo Lahore - A Musical saga of freedom and partition
