Event Description : 'Water Ways' illustrated talk by Sohail Hashmi as part of "Shadi Khampur Neighbourhood Museum" an exhibition of everyday life at Studio Safdar, 2253-E Shadikhampur, New Ranjit Nagar > 26th December 2012 to 21st January 2013

Looking at the Seven Cities of Delhi, how they met their requirements of water, the contribution made by the drainage system of the Jamuna and other traditional sources of water in meeting these requirements. Lessons we can draw for the present. The talk is the first in a series of events that accompanies the Neighbourhood Museum, Shadi Khampur.

Sohail Hashmi studied Geography, worked with the CPI (M), made documentaries, conducts heritage walks, writes, travels, cooks -- and talks about all of these.
