Event Description : An annual dance workshop culminating with a performance On Stage!
The Danz 'n' Buzz "On Stage" is a 6-7 week journey of understanding performing arts and connecting with oneself using dance as a medium. Working together towards a final showcase creates a buzz of vibrant energy passing through all the participants, who range from absolute beginners to senior students, 4 year olds to 50 year olds, coming from all walks of life to shake a leg, get refreshed, build some confidence, bust some stress and overall - get buzzed! A variety of batch timings are available, keeping in mind different people's schedules.
Internationally acclaimed, Danz ‘n’ Buzz is a young dance company - specializing in Jazz Fusion, Hip Hop, Contemporary and Social Dancing forms - which was set up in 2009 by Gaurav and Amit Verlani. It has today grown into a value-based organization with a company repertoire of over 20 dancers, teachers and choreographers who are all working together towards a cause – to spread the message of dance and its many benefits and therapeutic effects, as far and wide as they can.
Its belief is that dance, music and theatre, as mediums of expression and growth, can be creatively combined to enhance one’s powers of observation, concentration, exploratory thinking, effective communication and interaction! It is this belief that gave birth to a concept - a unique emphasis on Music Appreciation in Dance, through a special understanding of rhythm, melody, harmony and movement art.
Danz ‘n’ Buzz has been running various programmes and initiatives with schools, colleges and professional organizations, alongside the Danz ‘n’ Buzz Academy and its work with NGOs.
