Event Details : Exhibitions as part of Oz Fest are as follows :
1. The Pilbara Project
As part of Oz Fest, the Australian High Commission in partnership with the Delhi International Arts Festival presents an exhibition “The Pilbara Project” showcasing a photographic journey through the Pilbara, a remote region in Australia known for its colourful landscapes and rich mineral resources. Curated by Perth’s creative industries hub FORM, the exhibition includes the work by three Indian photographers, Ketaki Sheth, Sohrab Hura and Bharat Sikka, who travelled to the region and selection of works by Australian photographers.
2. Maamungun
Maamungun: Compatriots - an exhibition comprising photographs, films, sculptures and drawings - by three Indigeneous Australian artists will examine the impact of colonisation on the environment and ecology in their shared ancestral homeland. With their diverse approaches, the artists negotiate, explore and expand on concepts of land and culture through this exhibition.
