Event Details : 'Saket Ki Sita' Kathak Recital by Punita Sharma and group. 
The concept of the ballet is based on Ramayana, particularly Saket written by Maithili Sharan Gupta where-in emphasis on Urmila is highlighted. In this ballet we will try to show all the characters of ramayana to show the real status of women. Urmila, Lakshman's wife who wanted to go to the forest but was refused to go along with Ram, Sita and Lakshman. It was known to Rama that Sita's character was pious but inspite of that he asked for her agni pariksha. All the childhood activities of Rama will also be shown in this ballet based on the epics.
