Event Details : The III Friendship Film Festival (FFF-2012) of CIS Countries and India. 24 films from seven countries will be screened during the Festival.
The psychological drama "House of the Wind" by Russian director Vyacheslav Zlatopolsky will be the inaugural film at the Festival. The Delhi audience will also see famous Kyrgyz, Kazakh, Uzbek, Armenian and Belarusian films of the latest five years.
The programme of the Festival comprises "The Route of Hope" by Temir Birnazarov, "Sunrise over Lake Van" by Artak Igityan and Vahan Stepanyan, "Late Life" by Ayub Shahobiddinov, "Seker" by Sabit Kurmanbekov and Belarusian short films for children by Yegor Bushnev. Most of the movies are provided by the Embassies of CIS Republics in New Delhi.
Short films of Indian directors will be screened daily after the feature films.
There will be three movies of Dada Saheb Falke, who is considered to be the father of Indian cinema. The first Indian feature film "Raja Harishchandra", shot in 1913, will be screened on the first day of the festival to mark the 100th anniversary of Bollywood.

Organized by the Russian Centre of Science and Culture (RCSC) jointly with the Citizens Film Forum and Embassies of the CIS countries in New Delhi.

October 8, 7.00 p.m. "House of the Wind", directed by Vyacheslav Zlatopolsky (Russia)
A common woman Taisiya Levshina – a yard cleaner at a children's inflectional diseases hospital – comes to know that her son, considered missing for ten years, is in fact dead. To fill in the painful emptiness in her soul, she practically kidnaps from the hospital a seven-year old boy, who is doomed to untimely demise.
9 October, 6.00 p.m. "Unknown Route", directed by Temir Birnazarov (Kyrgyzstan)
The protagonist has been away in Europe to study and is now returning to his native village. His journey proves to be difficult and uninteresting. We get glimpses of his fellow-travelers, the passengers of the bus.
October 10, 6.00 p.m. "Sunrise over Lake Van," directed by Artak Igityan and Vahan Stepanyan (Armenia)
A drama in which a story of one family shows the history of a whole nation.
October 11, 6.00 p.m. "Late Life", directed by Ayub Shahobiddinov (Uzbekistan) The wealthy 30-year-old single woman is an editor of a local newspaper. To change her life, she marries a rural butcher.
12 October, 6.00 p.m. "Seker", directed by Sabit Kurmanbekov (Kazakhstan) Girl Seker before her 12 years tried to please her father in his desire to see her as a boy. However, the nature puts everything in its right place.
October 13, 5.00 p.m. Short films directed by Yegor Bushneva about the nature of the Republic of Belarus
