"Russian Landscapes" an exhibition of paintings by Indian Artists at Poorva Sanskritik Kendra (PSK), 14, Laxmi Nagar > 14th-31st October 2012
Time :
14th October : 4:00 pm - the screening of documentary and short films relating to painting and art the screening of short film "Maansi" (10 minutes) (Hindi with English sub titles) followed by a documentary film "Chitranjali" (59 minutes - English). This will be followed by "Romantic Artist" (9 minutes).
While Maansi and Romantic Artist are shot in Delhi and relate the story of young girl and a boy, who want to become artists against all odds and circumstances. The two films have a young girl and a young boy as a protagonist.
While documentary film Chitranjali tells the forgotten story of Polish artist Stefan Norblin (1892-1952), who found safe haven in India during World War II. The film follows the journey of the Polish painter, who worked for the royal family of Morvi, Ramgarh and Jodhpur in pre-independence India.
The film pays tribute to the art of Polish painter and brings back to limelight the fascinating landscape of Art Deco period in Poland and in India. The film has been provided courtesy Embassy of Republic of Poland in New Delhi through the good offices of FFSI.
