This year we plan to have a sale of 1000 ceramic platters made by India’s top studio potters. Each 18” - 24” piece of art is an original work of art at a price that makes it easy to buy for art collectors.
This exuberant and colorful collection of hand-thrown and hand-painted ceramics come from the best known studio potters in the country. There is an abundance of the most diverse and deeply though out colors and designs. Innovation and experimentation is happening in studio pottery in India. From a utilitarian craft it has become a thriving field of art led by ceramic artists and potters. These pieces made of the finest clays and glazes and using the latest techniques in India come from all over the country. Each piece which takes months to make from the kneading of the clay to the firing and glazing , is unique , impossible to replicate and a true work of art. They come ready, both functional and beautiful with a dramatic and eye-catching display. Platters are like an 'anjali' or two hands joined together in offering. They not only hold offerings in them but also let the offerings be visible; there is a transparency, unlike a bowl which hides more than it shows. This open offering is like an offering to the divine in all of us.

PFA works to rescue and rehabilitate sick and needy animals. We set up and run shelters, ambulance services, dog sterilization programmes, treatment camps and disaster rescue missions for animals. We conduct education programmes in schools, fight cases in court and lobby on animal issues in Parliament. At present we have a network of 200 units, 34 hospitals and 60 mobile units nationwide. It is our aim to have an animal welfare centre in each of India’s 600 districts.
To achieve this, every year we organize an event to raise funds and awareness for animal welfare. Each PFA fundraiser is designed as a unique and spectacular event. Each time it promotes a novel, exciting art form and has become a trendsetter in the art world.
Past PFA fundraisers include:
The first large art exhibition in India in 1987.
The first pottery all India pottery exhibition with 1000 potters.
The first all India photography exhibition with 2,500 photographs.
The first exhibition of Raja Ravi Varma oleographs.
A collection of 12,000 designer T-shirts by all of India's top designers.
The Affordable Art Show with over 1000 works by the country's top 15 artists each priced at an unbelievable standard price of Rs. 40, 000.

We wove paintings of the legendary artists and designers into a limited edition of carpets and sold out.
Last year we had another India first. A limited edition of fine porcelain mugs with paintings of the best known artists in the country. We sold 13,000 mugs.
Each exhibition creates a whole new segment in India’s burgeoning art market. This is what makes PFA shows such eagerly awaited and well-attended events.
