Event Details :  'Abode of the Gods' A solo show of paintings by artist Ritu Chopra.
I have been engaged in trekking for over 20 years. Drawing from my experiences during such
ventures in the mountains, I now present a miscellany of my recollections of the spirituality
embedded within the Himalayas, titled "Abode of the Gods". The collection of my Paintings  is based upon my actual wanderings in the high passes and meadows and illustrates my perceptions and experiences during the period. My works portray everlasting  grandeur of the mountains and its people and their connection with mysticism ingrained within the region, neither of which can be separated from the other.
Passing through Himalayan villages, interacting with the local people, admiring the nature
in its pure and raw form ,for me is like Meditation.
