"Global crisis and the future of BRICS”
The crisis of the Euro zone coupled with problems of US Economy are affecting the Financial and Economic spheres of BRICS countries, which account for 20% of global GDP. The second quarter of 2012 brought a sharp depreciation of their currency. Leaders of the rate of fall were the Brazilian Real, Russian Rouble and the Indian Rupee. China's economy also demonstrates signs of a significant slowdown, where Yuan witnessed a slight depreciation for the first time. In early July, the IMF lowered the forecast for the global economic growth in 2012 because of weak investments, falling production and rising unemployment in Europe, USA, Brazil, India and China. What will happen with the global economy in the short term? The Global financial crisis, which has been actively discussed all around the world, will it become real? How resistant are the economies of the BRICS countries to the Global crisis? What is the "Achilles heel" of BRICS economies?
