Event Details : Mysteries of Ancient India: ‘Museum Detective’ workshop for children aged 7-11.
In this participatory programme we will all become museum detectives, learning how to find out about the past through exploring the museum.
Together we will learn how to unlock the mysteries of Harappan civilization, Gandara sculptures and ancient coins. The structured programme engages children fully through a range of activities such as drawing, discussion with partners and creating our own coins. Curriculum links: NCERT Class 6 – nature of evidence and archaeology, how we have moved from hunter-gathering to cities, the Indus valley civilization as well as coins,
empires, trade routes, the exchange of ideas and archaeology.
