About ‘Silks of Bihar’ : To celebrate the occasion of 100th Bihar Sthapana Divas Eco Tasar Silk & Bihar State Small Industries Corporation Ltd are organizing a Fashion Show – “Silks of Bihar” to showcase silk collection by the renowned designers from Bihar. Samant Chauhan, Arun Tiwari, Priyal Prakash, Vikram Kumar would be some of the designers to showcase their designs at the fashion show. Eco Tasar has designed collection from Tussah/Tussar silk which is indigenous to Bihar.

About Eco Tasar : Eco Tasar was incorporated in the year 2007 and it started its operations from 1st of October, 2007. It primarily specializes in production of tasar silk based fabrics and off-the-loom items like sarees, scarves, stoles, shawls, sarees and fabric by the yard. Exotica is a company jointly promoted by PRADAN (www.pradan.net), a NGO of national repute in the field of livelihoods promotion for the marginalized and a social entrepreneur, Khitish Pandya. The primary business of Ecotasar is to sustainably do business using yarn made by women trained and promoted by PRADAN such that they would have a continuous demand for their yarn due to the growing operations of Ecotasar.
