Event Details : Technodrome electronic music festival was created by BLOT! and Qilla records in 2009.
February 2012 sees the festival’s third episode, mixing forerunners from the global electronica scene in with leading Indian artists and performers.
Technodrome 2012 is poised to be the biggest yet, taking place in early February across Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore.

Highlights include:
OLIVER HUNTEMANN (Germany)
Oliver Huntemann is a German electronic music producer and DJ who has been a scene pioneer for over a decade. Huntemann is also the man behind massive dance labels Confused, Ideal Audio and Dance Electric as well as the concept series Rekorder with Stephan Bodzin. Huntemann has to his credit productions and remixes for some of the biggest names in electronic music, including Depeche Mode, Underworld, The Chemical Brothers and an extremely successful collaboration with Dubfire (Deep Dish).
Huntemann creates his sets entirely live, and in full view of his audience on the Reactable system. It is essentially a circular table that “reacts”, using cameras positioned at the bottom, to the placement of various blocks on its surface. The genius of the Reactable is that it transforms the live performance of electronic music: when hooked up to the musician’s laptop, manipulation of the blocks alter tempo, timbre and pitch, allowing an audience see exactly what movements are making the sounds they hear.
Huntemann will perform his critically acclaimed album, Paranoia, on this tour.

THE LIGHT SURGEONS (UK)
The Light Surgeons are a pioneering collective of designers and filmmakers who operate in the grey area between club visuals and film. Founded in East London in 1995, by artist and director Christopher Thomas Allen, The Light Surgeons’ work spans motion graphics, print, photography, installations, exhibitions and live performance.
Over fifteen years they have pioneered new forms of cross-disciplinary practice, from spectacular live cinema performances to large-scale installations and exhibitions in museums, as well as innovative digital filmmaking, and they’ll be kicking off the Unbox festival week, as well as performing at Mumbai single-screen cinema hall, Edward Talkies, for the Eyemyth Film Festival. The nineteenth-century theatre in Kalbadevi, outfitted in dusty blue, stars opera house-style tiered seating and an orchestra pit, and will be The Light Surgeon’s stage for their live cinema performance, on the second stop of their India tour.
