Background : In continuing the DEFA retrospective film screenings some of the legendary films from the package will be screened in January and February in Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan.
DEFA retrospective aims to document the entire spectrum of DEFA's filmmaking in the GDR, which is relatively unknown in India. DEFA classics, such as "Traces of Stones", "The Sons of Great Bear", "The Legend of Paul and Paula", lesser known documentaries, also from the time of German reunification, as well as short or medium-length animation films will be screened.
